This project focuses on browsing and buying movie tickets with ease for users’ desired showtimes and theatres.
I created an intuitive user experience with responsive design for customers from start to finish, from browsing movies and showtimes to finding desired theatres and completing their ticket purchase.
Through user research, I discovered that users prioritize convenience, ease of use, personalized recommendations, and clear information. The app needs to provide a streamlined and user-friendly interface to meet these expectations.
The aim was to improve overall movie ticket searching and checkout process by making strategic IA decisions. I designed the chosen structure to balance between being both concise and detailed, as well as simple and easy to understand.
Here’s the two screen versions of the home page.
I listened to my team's feedback on my designs regarding button placement and page organization, and I implemented several suggestions to address user pain points.
The movie theatre’s customers access the site on a variety of different devices, I started to work on designs for additional screen sizes to make sure the site would be fully responsive.
Moving from paper to digital wireframes made it easy to understand how the redesign could help address user pain points and improve the user experience.
Prioritizing useful button locations and visual element placement on the home page was a key part of my strategy.

Here are the parameters used to do the study shown on the right, and the findings through the usability study:
Browsing: Users can’t find the search button
Cart: The absence of the Cart feature and the Add to Cart button resulted in users being unable to add a ticket to their cart.
Account: Users want to purchase tickets without sign up.
Based on the insights I identified from usability study, I made changes to improve the site's search bar by adding a prompt hint text and a search button to enhance the search experience.
To make the ticket purchase more efficient, I added a cart image button to each movie detail which allowed users to add movie to their cart after they have checked the movie info.

I optimized mockups for multiple screen sizes, including mobile, to improve the browsing experience for users on different devices for smoothest experience possible.
hi-fidelity prototype included the design changes made after the usability study.
I realized that even small design changes can significantly impact user experience, and the key takeaway is to prioritize the user's needs when developing design solutions.
For my next steps, I will
